2.5 {E}

Our *baby* is not so much a baby anymore.
He is 2 and a half years old.
At 2.5 he is one of the most polite little beings that I have ever met.
 He loves art and crafts.
He loves anything to do with water.
He will melt your heart when you hear his Dada tuck him in at night and he says,
 "love you too, Dada."
He has yet to try to climb out of his crib,
and we plan on letting him let us know
when he is ready for a *big boy* bed.
He still has a mad love affair with his paci.
We have attempted potty training twice,
but he is just not ready and we are not going to push him quite yet.
He can be very very affectionate and loves to snuggle
especially when he is tired or sick.
He has learned the different emotions, and uses them in context.
 ie being happy or scared.
(He also likes to tell you what emotion someone else is feeling.)
Anything with wheels, and he is obsessed.
Trains, planes, and cars.
You name it and he likes it.
He will randomly come up to me and say
"Hi, there Momma." and pat my head or my leg.
He has the sweetest friendships with his BFFs Addie and Will.
He would love to have a dog, but his Momma says no.
When Gamma and PopPa are around, Momma and Dada are invisible. Ha!
The boy has a memory of an elephant.
He remembers EVERYTHING.
An example of this is we purchased our pumpkins from a church last fall,
and to THIS DAY, some 8 or 9 months later,
he will ask for a pumpkin if we pass that church.
You also can't bribe promise him something and expect him to forget about it.
He WILL remind you.

When he wants you to pay attention to him and you are not,
he will take his hands and place them on your face
and make direct eye contact with you.
He is the master distractor when it comes to bedtime.
He thinks of EVERYTHING to avoid bed.
He has been able to count in english and spanish since before he was two.
He LOVES pizza and almost any kind of fruit
but pancakes, waffles, and ice cream are his favorites.
For the longest time he thought every letter was *E*
 and every color was *yellow*.
He can now sing his alphabet and knows all of his colors.
He thinks burping and tooting is HILARIOUS.
Typical boy.
His favorite song to sing is the Itsy Bitsy Spider
and he knows all of the hand signals.
He can throw and hit a ball like his is in the major leagues
(well at least to his Momma)
When he is excited about something his eyes get really big
and his voice sounds like Michael Jackson.
When he approves of a food he rubs his belly and says mmmmm.
One of his favorite games is to hide so that we say "Where's Elias."
and then when he shows him self he likes us to laugh and say "there he is."
He loves any kind of electronic gadget, and can work the iPad, iPod, my iPhone,
and the TV and DVD players.

He is fun and keeps us on our toes with his entertaining little personality.  I can not imagine what life would be life without this rambunctious little soul.
He is AWESOME.
