Birthday Party: Snow Day Style

The theme was decided.

The perfect place was found.

The invites were made and sent.

The cake and cupcakes were designed. (and made)

The birthday outfit was found and bought to match the girlfriend.

Thennnnnn Mother Nature decided to send a gift.

A foot and a half (more in other places) of her white not so nice goodness.

Allll the planning bit the dust. Our plan of a party to celebrate our baby boys 1st birthday and to celebrate surviving our first year of parenting became a small gathering at home. We were really looking forward to see all of our family and friends that we don't get to see very often especially since moving to Alabama. While I was really disappointed that Elias didn't get the party we planned, I was equally happy that he got to spend his big day with a few of the people he loves. He had a great day and we really couldn't have asked for more.

Now prepare for the motherload of birthday pictures :)

Good Morning Birthday Boy :)

The Elmo balloon that sings Happy Birthday over and over and over.

The infamous smash cake. Turned out awesome considering what it looked like before Jackie saved it :)

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Elias/monkey, Happy Birthday to you......

He was not a big fan AT ALL.

Please get this cake off of me...

the Dada, the baby, and the Momma.

The Godparents, Auntie Telly and Uncle Seany :)

Please save me!

Picture with the future inlaws :)
Adam, Lily, Baby E, and Jackie

Lily going in for the cake steal

Elias looking disgusted by it. :)

Picture with Gamma and Gap.
We are sad that Nana, Poppy, and Landyn didnt make it. Stupid snow.

Being silly with Gamma.

Little mid party bath.

Hey naked bootie!

Rockstar outfit change.

opening presents

book from Momma, I'll love you forever.

picture/word book from Aunt Nicolette

popper from Gamma and Gap:)

presents from the girlfriend (Lily)

Lily got him a fort complete with ball pit...I think the Dada's and the Uncle had a little more fun with it :) The babies were not even in the fort. The boys men were in it throwing balls at each other.

All in all, Elias really did have a great day. I am sad that he didnt get the party that we planned for him but he should feel really loved :) and thats all that counts, right?
