Rainy Day Photo Shoot
With all of this rain we haven't gotten outside very much so while Big Brother napped, Sawyer and I did a little photo shoot. I am so in love with this blonde haired blue eyed boy...

Hey look what I can do!
Someone pulled up today in their crib. We sit him in his crib because we were going to lower his mattress and he showed us he could pull up. He was quite proud of himself.

ladybug, ladybug...
E loves ALL bugs and creatures especially ladybugs, he is such a happy boy when he finds one and he loves for it to climb all over him. He is however, a very very sad boy when the ladybug flies away.

Thanksgiving Dinner {2011}
Nana and Poppie came to spend Thanksgiving with us and the spread was amazing. My awesome hubby did most of the cooking and we all ate until we were stuffed. E helped make a pumpkin cake and Sawyer had his first try at mashed potatoes :)

amazed.
By the tree.
I haven't found a child yet, who isn't mesmerized by the lights at Christmas time. We put our tree up a tad bit early this year, so that it could be up for the holidays when family is here for Thanksgiving. Unfortunately we didn't take in account that while the tree we had last year was a perfect fit for our 2 BR apartment, it looks like Charlie Browns tree in our house. So it looks like we will be in search of a new tree. For now this one will stay up so that the boys can be in awe of it :) Elias LOVES having the tree out and it is the first thing that he asks for when he wakes up...for the tree to be turned on. :)

Swim Lessons
E has been taking Swim Lessons at the Y. They are 2 days a week for 30 mins. While he can't quite swim on his own yet, I am pleasantly surprised at how much he has learned and we look forward to more lessons.

8 months old {2.0}
Has it really been 8 months since this guy came into our lives? Some days it feels like he was born yesterday, and other days it feels like he has always been a part of our little family.
This little blonde haired, blue eyed cutie is opinionated, let me tell you. If he wants something, he wants it NOW. If he doesn't, he lets you know.
And the lungs on this little guy, OMG! He screams and screams loud. Our bedrooms are split, with the master being on one end of the house, and the boys rooms on the other...no need for a monitor most days...Sawyer is heard loud and clear.
He loves attention, and he loves to cuddle. This is new for me, because his big bro was not a cuddly baby. I am loving every.single.moment.
He is a HUGE mommas boy and it melts my heart to mush. He has a tad bit of stranger anxiety but is completely ok if he has his baby blues zeroed in on his momma.
Being a mommas boy also has its downsides...he wants me to hold him 90% of the time that he is awake. That can make it a bit tricky to get anything else done.
He also ADORES his big brother, he smiles and giggles for E like no one else. I get the smiles and the coos and the giggles. BUT THE BELLY LAUGHS??? Those are reserved for E and its so so adorable. It is especially sweet that the feelings are quite mutual.
He is still such a happy happy baby. He smiles and smiles all day long. He is also so very animated. He makes so many faces.
He is also on the move. He has begun to army crawl and is all over and into EVERYTHING. We didn't have to do very much baby proofing with E, we just kind of went as he got into things. This guy is going to keep us on our toes and teach us what baby proofing is all about. Ha!
He is our tiny peanut. He is about 5 lbs smaller than what big brother was at this age and he is wearing a lot of 6 month things still, unless its footed pjs. He is going through a bit of a growth spurt lately though and is back to wanting a bottle every 3 hours during the day. We do some baby foods but for the most part he just eats whatever we are eating, which has been nice considering E is such a picky eater.
He is truly such a blessing to our little family.
