Somebody graduated from the bouncy to the jumparoo with a little help from the Wii Fit board :)

We live in Alabama. Around here they eat, breathe, and live football. Sawyer was born in Alabama. It was inevitable that he was going to have some kind of Bama paraphernalia on him at one time or another...our favorite Caroline bought this for him when he was born and he could finally wear it...a cutie I must say...our little Bama Baby
blonde hair, blue eyes, a dimple....he is going to be quite the lady killer

naptime shananigans

Getting E to nap is getting harder and harder these days. Having a video camera/monitor has also made naptime quite entertaining to watch...Here is a few of his shananigans...
wearing a drum hat

finally giving in and falling asleep...on his floor

Dadas Road

The weather in the Deep South has been unusually (not really, but it feels like it) miserable so we haven't been doing much outside play. When we do let E outside to play its usually in the late evenings and even then we all come in dripping in sweat. On one of these evenings, Dada thought it would be fun to draw E a road for him to drive his cozy coupe on with sidewalk chalk. E LOVED it and even helped with the artistic masterpiece.
drawing a stop light

river under the bridge

overpass bridge

cant have a road without a stop sign

E supervising

driving on his road

obeying traffic signs

taking his motorcycle for a spin

"wading" in his river
While the big boys were playing with their road, I was playing with my camera settings taking pictures of the baby boy that soooo wishes he could play with the big boys.

*Houston, We have lift off*

Sadly, July 8, 2011 was the last time we will hear that famous NASA phrase.  After 135 flights in 30 years,  The Atlantis, will do down in the history books as the last space shuttle to launch ever.  And it may be the last time that America launches astronauts for many years.
Our little family snuggled in bed witnessing history take place on our television.  One day the boys will read about this at school and they will be able to look back and this and know where they were that day. :)
NASA also did a cute little thing called Face in Space where you upload the childs picture onto their website and the picture would be *launched* into space with the shuttle. I uploaded a pic of both boys and when the mission was complete {7.21.11} they were sent a certificate. I thought it would be something unique for their baby books. :)
